With Banker’s Academy all I had to do was select from the vast catalogue of available courses and create a program that fit my Bank’s needs. Not only do they have the compliance courses available but they also offer a variety of great courses to improve and enhance customer service, sales production and the Bank’s production as a whole. I was able to tailor programs that fit each job description in my Bank which made training more personal and effective. In 2006, when Coastal Federal Bank experienced a welcomed growth spurt, the need arose for a more up-to-date teller training program. My colleagues and I auditioned half a dozen or more online training providers and found that Edcomm’s Achieving Teller Excellence was the most state-of-the-art product with its customization options and transaction simulations. The interactive program proved effective in teaching tellers the basics of banking, and customization reflected the bank’s logo, colors, and nomenclature, as well as featured biographies of our Bank’s officers. The product looked professionally designed while providing newly hired tellers with the personalized warm welcome that’s so often missing from online training. Of all the customizations, the Teller Transaction Simulation was the most impressive. We were able to customize the sample transactions to our exact specifications, including what order the fields were to be completed and the number of keystrokes required for various types of transactions. We were even able to include screen shots of our transaction tickets. The simulations served to prepare tellers for branch work without the challenge of having a live customer in front of them and helped tellers acclimate to our Bank’s software and forms. After BB&T acquired Coastal Federal in 2006, I joined the team at Plantation Financial Corp., and upon discovering that the organization as a whole wasn’t satisfied with the company’s online training provider, I immediately sought out Edcomm for a training solution. Within weeks, Edcomm had us online with Banker’s Academy Unlimited. In the three years I have worked with Edcomm, I have consistently received prompt, courteous, and professional service from Dana Russikoff, Nydia Fornelos, and Brandy Long. Symcor’s Privacy Office contacted Edcomm based on a referral from one of our business partners, as we had an aggressive timeline to meet our training requirements. We were pleased with the speed of Edcomm’s response to our inquiries and their willingness to take on our requirement to deploy Symcor’s privacy and security training within a 6 week timeframe. The solution that Edcomm identified gave us an economic tool that is user-friendly, while providing the functionality we required to deliver the training to our employees, as well as enabling us to track and monitor compliance. We switched to Edcomm Banker's Academy over a year ago from a different online training program. The cost savings was tremendous - which has been very helpful in this time of budget cuts. We found that the training content is precise, to the point, and always current. It doesn't have a lot of "fluff" like the other program had. The transition to the new program was nice and smooth thanks to the excellent Client Services staff. They walked us through every step of the way, and are still available to help anytime we have a question. It is nice to call in and talk to the same person every time. We've actually had two Client Services Managers, David McDonough and Robyn Cohen, and they've both been terrific! The majority of our bank training is done through Banker's Academy. They have it all from BSA, Compliance Regulations, HR topics, to Security. The courses are flexible; if you don't finish it all in one sitting, you can go back where you left off without having to redo the whole thing. Another nice feature is being able to generate detailed reports and have them converted to Excel spreadsheets. Overall, we are very satisfied with our conversion to Edcomm Banker's Academy. I wanted to let you know that we had our BSA audit last week and it went very well. Part of that can be attributed to the Edcomm compliance training program that the Bank has used for the past few years and will continue to use. To be able to assign the classes to the appropriate personnel and then leave it up to them as to when they choose to work on the classes (as long as they are done by the deadline) works great for me. I am one who appreciates personal responsibility, and this format feeds into that very well. We assign the classes at the beginning of the year and give them a time frame in which they must finish them. The classes are very well done, I know I learn something every year and I have been in the compliance area of the bank for a very long time! Many of us choose to complete the classes and test at home, without the interruptions that come with the office atmosphere. And others choose to use their office time at work to complete them. That is one thing that is so great about this program, you can adapt as needed. The reports that the program offer are easy to pull and show the auditors and examiners what the topics covered are as well as the progress of the staff. Luther Burbank Savings compared a lot of web based compliance training programs before choosing Edcomm and the Banker’s Academy program. Originally, our decision to go with Edcomm was based primarily on cost, and the overall simplicity of the system. The program is very user friendly. I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to our Client Services Manager for the great service she has provided to us. She has gone above and beyond each and every time I have contacted her. Every company wants your business, but it is rare to get regular emails just to check and see how things are going. I have never emailed her that I did not get a response immediately. In reference to Edcomm Banker’s Academy, we have been a customer since 2008. We had a need for sales training for our front line employees that was both specific to our products and computer-based, so that it was easy for our employees to access. I had my doubts on how “tailored” it could be, but I was extremely pleased. The process went quickly and almost as soon as I uploaded the personalized pages, it was ready for me to review. I would like to commend Banker’s Academy on their online compliance training courses. This is the first year our financial institution has used this format and we are very pleased with the results. I have had the pleasure to work with The Edcomm Group Banker’s Academy using several of their training solutions. We began the relationship with our highest priority, regulatory training. For several years we have satisfied all of our regulatory needs using the Edcomm Banker's Academy product, Focus on Compliance. We have used several Edcomm Banker’s Academy products, most notably, the system simulation solution. When my department was faced with a major system conversion, minimal time to develop and deliver training and a directive to keep employees out of the classroom, Edcomm Banker’s Academy was the right decision. We would have incurred much greater costs and missed training target dates had we not used this effective solution. Contracting with a new vendor is always challenging. In my experience, execution on what was agreed to during contract negotiations requires managing the relationship closely. While most vendors hand you over after the completion of the sale, our salesperson at Edcomm Banker’s Academy has been there since day one as my go to person. She is a true professional I have enjoyed working with for several years. We also work closely with our Client Services Manager who delights us daily. Our employees feel like they are learning more under the Learning Link system than from the other compliance training systems we've had in the past. Homeland Credit Union began using the Banker's Academy Online Training program in 2008. We have found it to be the answer to training staff located in multiple offices and complying with ongoing training requirements from examiners. The course content is quite thorough and kept up to date with required regulation changes. We have chosen to use the training program as part of our employee evaluation process by requiring specific courses. It also allows the employee to self train on additional topics that may be of interest to them. The response from our Client Services Manager has been nearly immediate. All resolutions have taken place within one to two days at the most. Communication with her has been great. I have recently completed the Banker’s Academy Achieving Teller Excellence online training program. I thought that the course was terrific. It gave me both a clear understanding of the skill sets required to be a successful Teller as well as a clear understanding of how a retail bank operates. I particularly liked the real life simulations as well as the interactive features of the program. The Banker’s Academy course has prepared me for all aspects of successfully performing the duties of the Teller position, including cash handling, processing Teller transactions and a comprehensive knowledge of banking products. In fact, I recently passed the Citibank online Teller/Customer Service aptitude test. I have prior experience within the banking industry and the Achieving Teller Excellence program leaves me fully qualified, confident and prepared to reenter the banking industry on the retail end as a Teller. Having used other online training systems, I was impressed by the catalogue of available compliance courses, as well as customer service and basics of banking courses. What brings together all e-learning programs is its administrative piece. Through Learning Link we have been able to follow the progress of our 540+ employees. With minimal effort we can review the topics and modules that have been completed and at what level of competency. Navigating through Learning Link is intuitive. A person can be very proficient with very little time investment. Changes in status of employees, such as a promotion, can be reflected in Learning Link with a few key strokes. I have worked with Edcomm over the last 7-8 years in two different banks and capacities. They were the first cost-effective solution that I have had for providing 150 mid-level to junior managers in production management skills training. That course was both classroom led and PC based, and has now morphed into a web-based supported experience. Their demonstrated expertise in bank operations, both back-office and front line, was a major determinant in my selection of their solutions.
